ALIVE Wellness Centre is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing holistic support for knife crime survivors and families. We offer a range of services including counselling, physical activities, and community building initiatives to promote healing and well-being.
Currently, I am pursuing a Master's in Psychology to gain further insight into how the brain processes trauma and to better support survivors and families of knife crime and youth violence. This advanced knowledge allows me to provide more comprehensive care to those in need.
I am dedicated to helping as many survivors of knife crime and youth violence as possible in the context of ALIVE Wellness Centre. Our goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals who have been affected by this type of violence, offering them the resources and tools they need to heal and move forward in their lives. Together, we can make a difference and create a brighter future for those who have been impacted by knife crime.
"Police recorded that knife-enabled crime in the year ending March 2024, increased by 4% (50,510 offences) compared with year ending March 2023 (48,409 offences) in England and Wales. A notable increase was seen in the number of robberies involving a knife or sharp instrument (up 13% compared with the previous year)".
"The Office for National Statistics (ONS, 2024) have stated there were 5, 268 offences in the force area of the West Midlands between April 2023 and March 2024, giving a rate of 178 per 100,000 of the population.
